Arizona’s economy has been experiencing significant growth, with a gross state product of $508 billion in 2023. The state has consistently ranked among the fastest-growing in the nation, with its GDP growth rate often exceeding 2% over the past decade. Also:

  • The state ranked in the top 4 of “Best States For Business” according to Chief Executive Magazine in 2022, climbing six spots from the previous year.
  • Setting up an LLC in Arizona is relatively easy and affordable, costing only $50 if done independently.
  • The Grand Canyon State is home to over 75 semiconductor companies. Since 2020, Arizona has attracted over 40 semiconductor projects, representing over $102 billion in capital investment and more than 15,700 direct jobs.

  • Arizona is home to top-ranked aerospace engineering programs, such as Embry-Riddle University.

Arizona companies secured 32 deals totaling $360.5 million in the second quarter of 2024. In prior quarter, early-stage Grand Canyon State companies raised $273.9 million across 30 deals. Specific capital raises by Arizona companies include:

  • Virtuous raised $100 million in a minority growth investment led by Susquehanna Growth Equity on September 19, 2024. Virtuous provides software solutions for nonprofits to streamline fundraising, marketing, and donor development processes.
  • AudiencePlus secured a $7 million funding round on September 10, 2024. AudiencePlus develops a software platform for marketing firms to improve audience engagement.
  • Nectero Medical raised $96 million in a Series D round in May 2024, which was the largest deal in Arizona during the second quarter of that year.
