Frequently Asked Questions

It is very simple. This is a virtual conference. Presenting companies will have 30-minute time-slots. During these sessions presenting companies can either make roadshow/investor presentations or they can be interviewed about their companies. Attendees will listen to the presentations and, time permitting, will engage with the attendees in question-and-answer sessions.

Davos in the Desert’s Wellness Conference webpage is now live. Significant marketing efforts are being expended to capture a high caliber audience. Investors and other interested parties will be able to read your company’s brief (750 character) profile on the conference page. Investors and potential business partners from around the world will be able listen to your live presentation on February 11, 2025. They will also be able to listen to the archived version of your presentation after the live, February 11, program concludes.

Each presenting company will have a 30-minute time-slot. The purpose of the conference is for senior executives to communicate their companies’ stories to the investment community and transactions professionals in the wellness industry. The session begins with the host introducing the speaker and the company.

From that point, the session can either be interactive/conversational (with the interviewer asking questions and the guest answering them) or a roadshow-like presentation.

Please do not disclose anything that is proprietary, under NDA or that could be considered insider information.

The logistics are very simple. A Webex or Zoom link is sent to the presenter a few business days before the conference takes place. At the appointed time, the presenter logs onto the session.

Please conduct your session in one place—that is, not while walking or driving. Please make sure that you have a strong Internet connection as well as good camera and microphone. While most of our outlets are audio only, our podcasts (video included) are usually posted on YouTube. The recommended dress code is business casual.

To make a good impression on the listeners, we recommend that you find a private location, where interruptions are unlikely.

Yes. The host opens up the link at least thirty minutes before the conference commences. You can test your connection at that time.

We can record your presentation at another time and post that presentation, together with your company’s description, on the Wellness Conference webpage. Thus, your presentation will appear like all of the other presentations after the conference concludes. Arrangements to record company presentations must be made before the live conference commences.

[Note: In the event that you deliver a company/roadshow presentation, far fewer questions will be posed to you. Thus, the responses below are less relevant.]

Our interviewers typically spend two to three hours researching your company and industry. As each interview is unique, the questions are tailored to each company. However, the following are typical discussion points.

  • Unique value proposition vis-à-vis competition
  • Target customer segments
  • Go-to-market strategy
  • Industry growth drivers (technology, demographics, regulation, legislation)
  • Industry challenges (technology, demographics, regulation, legislation)
  • Management (profiles, depth, incentives)
  • Research efforts
  • Intellectual property portfolio
  • Balance sheet (structure, capital needs, cash burn)
  • Financial performance and projections (revenues, profits, margins, cash flows)

You can chat with our interviewers about the nature of the interview for a few minutes right before recording begins.

We regularly conduct podcasts with CEOs of established companies as well as with CEOs of emerging companies. You may want to listen to this podcast as well as this one.

We discourage editing the session. The session is meant to be a frank exchange between the company representatives and the audience. Consider the session as you would a live interview. Nevertheless, in the rare events when a company executive inadvertently discloses confidential information, we will try to edit out the few seconds that you believe could be damaging to your company. A $150 initial editing fee needs to be remitted for the editing process to begin.

Your session will be available to all listeners for at least 45 days after the launch of the conference (on February 11, 2025).

We can always run another podcast later. We can also prepare Company Valuation Reports and Patent Valuation Reports. Click here to receive sample Valuation Reports. David Wanetick is also an investment banker. As an investment banker, David is involved in selling companies and raising capital. Of course, separate agreements must be reached before any Valuation Reports can be prepared or before any investment banking activities commence.
